Global Communications Outline
Topic: What is global communication and how has it promoted the globalization witnessed in the past ten years?
Intro:
Global communications have changed the way that people communicate, because of this, globalization of the world in the last ten years, has changed as well. With this change of globalization there are many things that now come easier to us. We don’t notice these changes as much as we should, but when you sit down and think about how much easier our lives are due to the globalization of the world, you will be amazed.
Thesis:
Global communications is the process of exchanging information on a world-wide scale. This in turn has promoted globalization on many different levels, including; social, science and business.
Body:
Social:
1. Technologies change the ways of communicating.
a. Email
a. Faster than letters
b. No wondering when the person is going to get the letter.
b. Skype
a. See a persons’ face
b. Able to send text
c. Its free
Science:
1. The medical world has changed so many ways because of the globalization of the world
a. Doctors are able to exchange different ideas about surgeries.
i. You are able to talk to another doctor across the world about a procedure that they have done.
ii. You are able to send links to other doctors about research that you have found.
b. The technologies for saving lives have changed. Just the different machines that we know have.
i. The different machines that are helping save peoples’ lives
ii. The ability to respond to an emergency faster than before.
Business:
1. You are able to get your product out to the world faster and easier than ever before.
a. Business meetings
a. You are able to now have a meeting on the phone with someone across the world.
b. Able to travel to meeting across the world and come back faster than ever before
b. Promote items
a. Internet has online shopping
b. You are able to see what competitors have that you don’t.
Conclusion:
The way that globalization has changed due to global communications is very easy to see. When looking at the different levels; social, science, and business, you are able to see a clear cut line as to how they are helping those few different components that make up part of the world-wide scale.
