Paper

Global communications have changed the way that people communicate; therefore, globalization of the world in the last ten years has changed as well. Global communications is the process of exchanging information on a world-wide scale. This in turn has promoted globalization on many different levels, including; social, science and business.
Socially, technological advancements have changed the way we communicate. Email has grown to be the standard in written communication. It is an almost instant delivery versus writing a traditional letter and sending it through the postal service. Also, it is much easier to track and nothing will fall into the hands of the wrong person. Skype is another invention that has revolutionized our levels of communication. Skype allows us send a text message, make a phone call from our computer to another person’s phone, and allows us to have a face to face conversation via video call with people that are anywhere in the world for free. This has brought the whole world closer together with friends and family.
In science, the medical world has changed many ways because of global communications.  Doctors are able to exchange different ideas about surgeries with other doctors that are anywhere in the world which allows us to have better results at any location. People are able to talk to another doctor across the world about a procedure that they have done and are able to send links to other doctors about research that they have found. Global communications have led to the creation of self help medical web sites where people can get instant information about nearly everything. Also, the technologies for saving lives have changed. Newer equipment is being used everywhere due to the ability to share knowledge worldwide.  We have the ability to respond to an emergency faster than before. These are only a few ways global communications have driven a much more globalized medical advantage.

In the business world, we are able to get products out to the world faster and easier than ever before. We are able to now have a meeting on the phone with someone across the world. We are able to set up virtual private networks where many business employees can work with their fellow colleagues on a company based network even when they are on the other side of the world. We can promote items much easier through the internet allowing for easier advertising which can directly affect affordability of products. Customers can purchase most products online as well. We are able to compare many products from different companies through the internet.

In conclusion, the way that globalization has changed due to global communications is very easy to see. When looking at the different levels; social, science, and business, you are able to see a clear cut line as to how they are helping those few different components that make up part of the world-wide scale. Socially, families and friends can keep in touch with each other very easily. Scientifically, the medical world has a plethora of information available to the whole world. In business, meetings and marketing have taken great leaps due to the internet.

How to look for errors in your papers!

Different ways to look for errors in your papers
1)      Have someone read your paper for you.
2)      Read out loud your paper slowly so that you are able to hear the mistakes.
3)      Make sure that there is enough time between from when you are done writing the paper, and when you are editing the paper.
4)      Read the paper backwards.
5)      You want to make sure that you set time for you to proofread the paper before you turn it in, just like you set time apart in your day to write the paper.
6)      Use different resources for your mistakes. If you find yourself using the same word, you want to make sure that you are using different words that have the same meaning. You can use
a.       Dictionaries
b.      Thesauruses
7)      Know what mistakes are the ones that you usually make. If you are able to know what mistakes you are most likely to make, then you are able to see them more clearly in your paper. Once you know those errors, know how to fix them.
8)      Make sure that you read your paper more than once. If you read it enough times you will be able to have most of the errors out of the paper.
9)      Role-play. While reading your paper, put yourself in your audience’s shoes. This way you are able to have an idea of how your audience might see your paper.

Final Draft. Story in a Box

Jeremy could not wait for his class trip to South Africa.  Jeremy had oil colored complexion with blue eyes. His lips were a rose red color. His checks had some definition to them as well, as he seemed to be always blushing.  He had wanted to go on his senior trip since it had been announced way back at the beginning of the school year. Now that the time was finally here for him to board the plane, he was nervous. Once he sat down in his seat, he thought about home and how he was going to miss his two story house, with the nice chimney and the balcony right outside his room.
The plane started to take off, he looked to his left and saw one of his close friends Sam. Sam was known to be afraid of flying. She was prone to getting motion sickness. Sam was holding a blanket with a floral design, to take her mind of the motion. Jeremy asked Sam what she was most excited for on the trip.
Sam then started to talk about how she was excited to go canoeing in the canoes that they had seen in the brochure. It was exciting to her to think that she was going to be going down the river in a canoe made of bark, by an African American who had long earlobes that touched his shoulders.
Before they realized what time it was, the flight attendant had started to come around to ask if anyone would like to purchase anything.  Jeremy and Sam were then given a little booklet with all sorts of different things in it. Sam was very interested in a plate that had red and black painting on it. She thought about who might had made the plate.
Jeremy decided that he was going to buy little jar that had blue and green wave design on it. The bottom on the jar you could see through. He also found it very interesting because there was a cork top to it. He then proceeded to take out his wallet. On Jeremy’s wallet, there was a design with elephants and monkeys and a tree. He opened the snapped and from one of the pockets, he pulled out a ten dollar bill.
When the flight attendant came back around, she handed Jeremy some brown chestnuts.  Jeremy decided that he was going to save them for later. He reached into his backpack and opened the biggest compartment. He found a little pouch that he then put them in. He kept looking and then pulled out a ruler that was 12 inches long and with that he pulled out a stamp that one of his teachers had given him. The stamp had a dragon on it, with on the bottom there was a symbol that he had yet to know what it meant. He reminded himself that he was to ask her once he got back.
Jeremy then decided that it would be best for him to sleep some because this was going to be a long flight. While he was going to sleep, he saw a little boy who was playing with a wooden figure that was painted on just one side. In the figurines hand he saw a little drum. With that Jeremy went into a deep sleep and thought about how fun these next few days were going to be for him.
